Transatlantic Media Fellowships, 2022

The Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Foundation is offering Transatlantic Media Fellowships, 2022 to journalists who aim to contribute to the future of transatlantic relations, especially in the area of international security.

Eligibility criteria:

• The fellowships are open to journalists working in any medium with a strong record of publications.
• Applicants of Transatlantic Media Fellowships, 2017 must propose new perspectives on transatlantic policy debates. 
• Applicants can be based in the US or EU member states and demonstrate motivation to engage in research.
• Those based in the US should report in EU member states and/or Turkey while those based in EU member states must report in the US.
• Journalists from local/regional media outlets who can show that transatlantic relation is a new topic to their audience would be preferred for Transatlantic Media Fellowships, 2022.
• Journalists who can propose lesser-heard perspectives and are from diverse backgrounds and those who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to conduct research on the topic are especially considered.

• Resume in standard US format
• Cover letter in one page
• Proposal consisting the following sections:
• Story proposals: List of stories they are planning to cover each in 200 words
• Travel Itinerary: details of dates of travel, destinations, and possible interviews  in every location
• Social Media Engagement
• Two work samples and a summary of each of the samples if they are not in English, German, Spanish, or French,
