• The candidates applying for Swire Scholarships at St Antony's College should be permanent residents of Japan or China, Hong Kong.
• The candidates should have completed the majority of their formal education in Japan, China or Hong Kong respective to their citizenship.
• Students are selected depending on the academic merit primarily but the financial need is also taken into consideration.
• The candidates are expected to return to their respective countries, Japan, China or Hong Kong after completing their course of study. 
• Candidates planning to pursue a career in government, business, academia or a recognized profession will be given priority.
• Applicants for Swire Scholarships at St Antony's College should have applied and received an offer to a graduate course at St Antony's College.
• St Antony's College accepts students in a wide range of subjects in the Social Sciences and Humanities Divisions but not in courses in the Mathematical, Physical, and Life Sciences or Medical Sciences Divisions. Our graduate courses page gives a list of the subjects we do accept.
