The Swarna Jayanti Fellowships are open to excellent young scientists who wish to pursue research in frontier areas of science and technology.
Eligibility criteria:
- Candidates applying for SwarnaJayanti Fellowships must have received Ph.D. in Science/ Engineering/ Medicine.
- Applicants must not be in receipt of fellowships from any other GOI schemes.
- Applicants must be active in the fields of engineering and science with excellent contributions in the form of patents, peer recognition from awards, the scientific community and/or research publications, etc. in their research area.
- Indian nationals who hold positions in recognized Indian academic/research organizations can apply for the fellowship.
- If the fellowship is awarded, financial and management responsibilities of the project must be undertaken by the academic/research organization throughout the 5 years.
