Objective
Encourage graduate and postgraduate students who carry out a project on natural hazards in the field of geology or geotechnics.
A large-scale landslide occurred on May 4, 1971, in the municipality of Saint-Jean-Vianney in the Saguenay region. It was among the most significant in the history of Quebec. This disaster reminded all of Quebec society of the potential tragedies that can be caused by strongly retrogressive landslides in our sensitive clays. Commemoration in the form of a technical workshop was held on May 13 and 14, 2021. This scholarship was created following this event.
Eligibility criteria
Be registered full-time (12 credits or more per semester) in one of the universities of the SCG-Est-Qc at the time of application (or become so following receipt of the scholarship) and during the year of award of the scholarship.
