The main purpose of the Award is to provide support for a high achieving student Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Philosophy graduate who has subsequently enrolled in further postgraduate study in Philosophy at the University of Auckland.
Eligibility for Professor Robert Solomon Memorial Award 2022:
- The Award will be made to a student enrolled full-time in a Master of Arts (MA) or PhD in Philosophy, who has previously completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) (BA(Hons)) degree at the University of Auckland.
- The Professor Robert Solomon Memorial Award is tenable by domestic and international students.
- The basis of selection will be academic merit as assessed by the grade point average (GPA) calculated over all BA (Hons) courses and the quality and philosophical potential, evident in the applicant’s coursework in those courses. In the case of PhD students, the Selection Committee may also take into consideration coursework carried out in an MA programme in Philosophy.
