The main purpose of the Prize is to recognize high standards of academic achievement in students of Geology who return to study after a significant period away from academia. The capital sum for the Prize was provided by donations from family and friends, and fellow students and staff of the Department of Geology.
Eligibility for Jeff Allen Memorial Prize in Geology 2022:
- The Prize will be awarded annually to a suitable candidate who is a full-time student achieving the highest overall marks for a Postgraduate Diploma in Science or a Master of Science in Earth Science.
Value of Jeff Allen Memorial Prize in Geology 2022:
- The value of the Jeff Allen Memorial Prize in Geology 2022 will be $900.
The Prize will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council upon the recommendation of the Head of the School of Environment. The University of Auckland Council is not obliged to make an award if in any year there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
