American College of Surgeons - International Young Surgeons Scholarships in US, 2019-20

The American College of Surgeons is offering scholarships to international young surgeons to with strong interests in research and teaching. The scholarship provides the applicants with an opportunity to visit research, teaching, and clinical activities in Canada and the US and to attend the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress.

Eligibility for American College of Surgeons - International Young Surgeons Scholarships in US, 2019-20:

• The applicants for American College of Surgeons - International Young Surgeons Scholarships in US, 2019-20 can be nationals of any country other than US and Canada.
• The candidates should be graduates in medicine and should have finished surgical training.
• The applicants should be aged between 35 and 50 years.
• The candidates are expected to be in teaching, research or surgical practice for at least one year at their permanent location.
• The applicants should show a commitment to teaching and research.

Documents required

• Submit a curriculum vitae and publications list.
• Submit three publications of their choice and three recommendation letters from their colleagues. One letter should be from the department where the fellowship is held and should describe the nature of teaching and academic involvement of the applicant.
• The unsuccessful candidates can apply the second time with the new application form.

• The recipients get assistance in visits from the Clinical Congress to various clinics.
• The successful candidates should submit a report of experiences after completing their tours.
