Development Related Postgraduate Courses

Well-trained local specialists who are networked with international partners play an important role in the development of their countries. You are the best guarantee for a better future with less poverty, more education and health for all. The lack of well-trained specialists is therefore blocking the way out of poverty in many developing countries. In many southern countries, universities are underfunded and overcrowded. At present, there is often a lack of highly qualified university teachers and the relevance of the training offered.

Against this background, the DAAD created the development-related postgraduate courses (EPOS). In this program, selected people from developing countries receive scholarships. In Germany, for example, they can acquire an internationally competitive degree in a postgraduate course with a close practical connection.
