Australia Awards Scholarship 2022

Australia Awards Scholarships are prestigious international awards offered by the Australian Government.These Scholarships are offered to exceptional Indian graduate students from specific high-performing institutions for study in priority areas of study at one of Australia’s world class universities. Australia Awards Scholarships  also considers applications that are strongly encouraged from women, people with disability and members of other traditionally marginalised groups. 

Eligibility for the Australia Awards Scholarships 2022:

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen with a valid passport.
• The applicant must be a recent graduate of one of the target institutions or in the final year of a tertiary-level qualification (at least equivalent to an Australian bachelor’s degree).
• The applicant must have achieved a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 7.5 
• The applicant must have an endorsement letter from one of the target institutions/universities in India.
• The applicant must have achieved an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic) score of 6.5 or higher (with no individual band score below 6.0) or an internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 84, with a minimum of 21 in all subtests, or a Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50.

Special conditions:

The applicant from India must also meet the following conditions:

• Scholarship recipients are required to return to India for at least two years after completing their studies.
• Scholarships for study commencing in 2022 must be taken up in 2022 unless deferred by the program. Should a recipient not be able to commence study in 2022, the Scholarship will be withdrawn.
