About the scholarship:

One annual award automatically considered based on PhD applications.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

• have achieved a minimum weighted average of 80% in the final year subjects, or (University of Melbourne) equivalent, with a minimum result of 80% for the research component
• have not already completed a research qualification at the same or higher level as the course for which a scholarship is sought
• have applied for admission to a PhD degree but not be currently enrolled at the University of Melbourne on a topic taught within the Asia Institute

Selection criteria

• The Asia Institute PhD Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit. Eligible applicants are automatically considered, scored and ranked according to their academic achievement of their completed tertiary degrees, published articles, writing samples, research proposal, language and analytical skills relevant to their proposed field of study, and other factors relevant to the proposed research, such as professional experience.
