Taylor’s University offer various research-related postgraduate scholarships for students enrolled in master's and doctoral programmes at Taylor’s University. Taylor’s University initiated ASEAN Tourism Scholarship 2022 to support students from ASEAN member countries involved with master's and postgraduate research programme financially so that they can become effective researchers that contribute to the needs of our community. This award is offered to support research in all areas of studies in the University and to instill excellent values amongst postgraduate students academically and socially. Award recipients are expected to devote their efforts to research and publishing articles as well as participating in University events and activities and getting engaged in various non-academic activities like community activism, charity work or educational services.
Eligibility criteria for the ASEAN Tourism Scholarship 2022:
For Master's Applicants:
- This opportunity is open to only ASEAN member countries.
- Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA ≥ 3.00 from any recognised local/foreign university
- Applicants must submit a Research proposal must be relevant to the ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan(ATSP) 2016-2025 priority areas.
For PhD Applicants:
- This opportunity is open to only ASEAN member countries.
- Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA ≥ 3.33 and Master’s Degree (Coursework / Mixed mode) with CGPA ≥ 3.50 or by Research mode from any recognised local/foreign university
- Research proposal must be relevant to the ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan (ATSP) 2016-2025 priority areas.
An applicant with publication in Citation Indexed Journal (CIJ) will have an added advantage.
Benefits of the ASEAN Tourism Scholarship 2022:
For Master's Applicants:
- 75% tuition fee waiver for a maximum of 24 months (full-time study)
- Monthly stipend of RM1,500
- 100% thesis examination fee waiver
For PhD Applicants:
- 100% tuition fee waiver for a maximum of 36 months (full-time study)
- 100% thesis examination fee waiver
- Monthly stipend of RM 2,300
- Conference allowance of RM 3,000
